MoT Testing

An annual MoT test is a legal requirement for all road vehicles over three years old. The test is a means of checking all aspects of your vehicle to ensure that it is road-worthy. Once completed, you are provided with peace of mind, and the ability to prevent or rectify any developing or existing problems.

We have a dedicated MoT bay in Rochdale approved to test class 4, 5 and 7, recognised by government agency VOSA who are responsible for overseeing the tests carried out and ensuring high standards are maintained. Our MoT testers are fully experienced and qualified mechanics, who are able to provide you with a prompt service and a comprehensive MoT test, including a diagnosis and a quote for any work that may be required to issue a certificate.

In the event of your vehicle needing repairs carried out in order to pass the MoT test, once the work is completed, the retest is then free of charge. In most cases, these repairs can be carried out on the same day, so there is little inconvenience caused.

Please contact us on 01706 654 405 to book your vehicle in for its annual MoT test, and to enquire about our free collection and delivery service. We can arrange to collect your car from your home or workplace at no extra cost (8 mile radius applies).

It has never been more important to ensure that your vehicle has an up to date MoT test carried out, as the VOSA system now allows mot status to be monitored by police or mobile cameras. It is worth noting that your test can be carried out up to a month earlier than it is due to expire without affecting the renewal date the following year, so why not get your vehicle booked in as early as possible?

What is checked?

During the inspection, the interior, exterior, under the bonnet and under the vehicle are thoroughly inspected following VOSA's comprehensive guidelines. These checks, carried out by our nominated testers, are to ensure the vehicles safety and to advise you of any issues that may be currently apparent, or may need attention in the near future.

The inspection does not guarantee the general mechanical condition of your vehicle. The condition of the engine, clutch or gearbox is not part of the MoT inspection checklist. Should you think that any additional or specific items require checking, please inform either the tester or the reception when you book in your vehicle.
